Brimley woman appointed to Early Childhood Investment Corporation Executive Committee


LANSING, Mich. (WLUC) – Governor Gretchen Whitmer Friday introduced the appointment of a Brimley girl to the Early Childhood Funding Company Govt Committee.

Ann F. Cameron is the Head Begin director for the Inter-Tribal Council of Michigan, Inc. and an early childhood schooling pupil advisor for Bay Mills Group Faculty. She holds an Affiliate of Arts in Early Childhood Administration from Bay Mills Group Faculty. 

Cameron is appointed for a time period commencing July 30, 2021 and expiring July 22, 2023. She succeeds Raeanne Madison who has resigned.

The Early Childhood Funding Company was created to be the state’s focus for data and funding in early childhood schooling in Michigan in order that kids can arrive on the kindergarten door, secure, wholesome, and anticipating studying and life.

The Funding Company was based in 2005 and charged with implementing a Nice Begin system for Michigan each on the state stage in addition to one group at a time.

Her appointment, and the others under, usually are not topic to the recommendation and consent of the Senate.

Others appointed embody:

Sonia Acosta, Ph.D., of Bloomfield Hills, is the president and CEO of Centro Multicultural La Familia, Inc. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Universidad Del Noreste, and a Grasp of Arts and Ph.D. in Psychology from Western Michigan College. Dr. Acosta is appointed for a time period commencing July 30, 2021 and expiring July 22, 2025. She succeeds Jennifer Archey whose time period expired July 22, 2021.

Luanne Ewald, of Royal Oak, is the chief working officer for the College of Michigan CS Mott Kids’s Hospital and Von Voigtlander Girls’s Hospital. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Enterprise Administration from Marquette College and a Grasp of Hospital and Well being Administration from Xavier College. Ewald is reappointed for a time period commencing July 30, 2021 and expiring July 22, 2025.

Laurie L. Linscott, of East Lansing, is the director of the Michigan State College Youngster Growth Laboratories. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Schooling and Social Science from Western Michigan College and a Grasp of Arts in Youngster Growth from Michigan State College. Linscott is reappointed for a time period commencing July 30, 2021 and expiring July 22, 2025.

Sharon Claytor Peters, of Belleville, is the founder and principal of Claytor Peters Consulting, the place she consults on kids’s coverage points, and the previous president of CEO of Michigan’s Kids. She holds a Bachelor of Arts and Grasp of Arts in Anthropology from Michigan State College. Peters is appointed for a time period commencing July 30, 2021 and expiring July 22, 2024. She succeeds Leslie Murphy who has resigned.

John R. Severson, Ph.D., of North Muskegon, is the superintendent of Muskegon Space Intermediate Faculty District. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Geography, a Grasp of Arts in Academic Management, and a Ph.D. in Academic Management from Western Michigan College. Dr. Severson is reappointed for a time period commencing July 30, 2021 and expiring July 22, 2025.

Kevin Stotts, of Ada, is the president of Expertise 2025 and a member of the Kids’s Management Council of Michigan. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in  Worldwide Relations from Michigan State College. Stotts is appointed for a time period commencing July 30, 2021 and expiring July 22, 2024. He succeeds Shauna Barbeau who has resigned.
