Our Mom, Betty J. Eliason, handed away April fifth, 2020 at Landmark Care Heart. Mother was born Elizabeth Josephine Elkins in Burlington, WA to Lonnie E. Elkins and Agnes J. (Kowol) Elkins on January 29th, 1931.
Later the household moved to Yakima, WA the place Betty attended college. She married Douglas L. Eliason on January 28th, 1948.
Betty divorced in 1965 and as a single mom of 5 was decided to get her highschool diploma attending night time courses at Davis Excessive. She then went on to obtain her affiliate’s diploma from YVC. From there she continued her schooling at CWU, commuting to Ellensburg and graduating with a BA in psychology.
Within the early 1970’s Betty went to work for WA State Dept. of Social and Well being Providers as a social employee. She continued her profession with DSHS till retirement.
She cherished the Oregon coast and visited there as a lot as potential from the time we have been very younger. Mother additionally cherished visiting the San Juan Islands and the Hawaiian Islands.
One in all her greatest passions have been canines and he or she had many through the years. From Nice Danes to Mastiffs and blended rescues. She cherished all of them.
Mother’s hobbies have been bowling, studying, singing and enjoying piano.
Mother is survived by her 5 kids: Lea (Coleman) Beghtol of Seaside, OR, Bradley Eliason of Yakima, MaryJo Eliason of Warrenton, OR, Laura Sutton of Yakima and Christine (Rick) Cecil of Union Hole; her grandchildren: David Foote of Vancouver, BC, Jonathan Crane of Portland, Joshua Cecil of Vancouver, WA, Emily Harris, Hannah (Tyler) Goss and Conner Colter all of Yakima; great-grandchildren: William Johnson, Gunnar and Archer Jack Bruseau and Ellianna and Holly Goss.
Betty is preceded in dying by her dad and mom, her grandson Joseph L. Crane and her granddaughter Alyson E. Harris.
